Bear Grylls has become known worldwide as one of the mostrecognized faces of survival and outdoor adventure. His TV series“Man vs. Wild” was Emmy Award-nominated, reaching an estimated 1.2 billion viewers. In recognition for his expertise and service, Grylls was appointed as the youngest-ever Chief Scout worldwide and was awarded an honorary commission as a Commander in the Royal Navy and as a Colonel in the notoriously tough Royal Marines Commandos.He has authored 90 books, including his most influential autobiography "Mud, Sweat & Tears".Since then he has gone on to host more extreme adventure TV shows across more global networks than anyone else in the world, including five seasons of the BAFTA award-winning The Island with Bear Grylls and the US hit TV show Running Wild.
